A meaningful milestone that allowed us to provide 10 care packages to parents of babies born preterm. <div> <br/> </div> <div> We were able to provide 10 care packages to parents of babies born preterm, each one filled with intention, love, and the reminder that they are seen and supported. </div> <div> <br/> </div> <div> What stood out most was the atmosphere. There were games, laughter, and moments of joy that felt almost unexpected in a space so often filled with stress and uncertainty. Parents who initially planned to “just stop by” ended up staying—connecting, opening up, and allowing themselves a moment to breathe. One mom shared that she couldn’t remember the last time she had truly laughed. </div> <div> <br/> </div> <div> Stories were shared—some heavy, some hopeful, all real. I shared my own journey as a NICU parent, and in return, I was trusted with the stories of others who know that same fear, strength, exhaustion, and love that comes with having a baby born too soon. </div> <div> <br/> </div> <div> We are deeply grateful for the Ronald McDonald House and the incredible work they do to support families during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Walking through the NICU taught me how deeply parents need support during one of the hardest journeys of their lives. <div data-rss-type="text"> Every Ounce of Love Inc. was founded out of my lived experience as a NICU mom. Walking through the NICU taught me how deeply parents need support—emotional, practical, and spiritual—during one of the hardest journeys of their lives. Along the way, I also became a Licensed Professional Counselor, which has strengthened my ability to serve families with both compassion and clinical care. What began by supporting parents through word-of-mouth has grown into a mission to bring therapy, support groups, and care packages into hospitals across Houston, TX and beyond.
